Having a Communications Coordinator Intern @ Local Investment Toward Employment (LITE)  from the YMCA's Digital Skills Youth Internship Program over the summer was a fantastic support for our organization. The support allowed us to do so much more this summer and Matt our Post-Secondary Grad Intern really did a great job on all of the tasks assigned to him.

The YMCA Digital Skills Youth Internship Program is really a win-win for everybody. The interns benefit by gaining valuable on-the-job experience, developing their skills, as well as giving them meaningful employment related to their academic background. It is also extremely beneficial for the host organizations as it gives them additional resources to complete important tasks.

In the summer of 2012 our small business was fortunate enough to participate in the YMCA Digital Skills Youth Internship Program. We hired two interns, Matthew and Kristen, who played a central role in our business development for their three months of work. Both brought an enormously high level of professionalism to their work, with an energy and loyalty to hard work that made them an enormous pleasure to work with.
